Q. Who is Amcare™ Group?

Amcare Group is part of the Convatec group of companies. Convatec are internationally recognised as leading providers of stoma, woundcare, urology and catheterisation products designed to help people manage chronic conditions.

Amcare are an experienced prescription home delivery company, specifically supporting those living with stoma, urology and catheterisation conditions. Through Amcare, customers are provided with a wide range of prescription products, with the aim of supporting customer choice.

Q. Does it cost anything to get my supplies delivered?

No. Our order and delivery service and support and advice all come free of charge to you, as we partner with the NHS to offer a free prescription service. In the event you have to pay for your prescription items, don’t worry; we’ll let you know before sending you anything.

Q. Can I decide how frequently I get my supplies delivered?

Yes you can choose to have your supplies delivered as often as you need to, if you find that you are left with excess supplies please let us know, we can speak to your GP and have your prescription altered. This will reduce the amount of space you need at home to store products and help save the NHS valuable funds. Equally if you find you don’t have enough supply, we can sort that out for you too – please just let us know.

Q. Can I change the products on my prescription?

If you find the products that you have been prescribed are no longer suitable, in the first instance, we recommend you discuss options with your specialist nurse or GP to discuss alternatives. Being experts in all things stoma, urology and continence, we can advise you of the full range of products and support for people with your specific condition. It’s your choice.

Q. How quickly can my order be delivered?

We dispatch most orders the next working day following receipt of your prescription. If you are a new customer and have limited product left, we will normally process your first order even if we don’t have your prescription. You will never be left without the essential products we know you need.

Q. What do I do if for some reason I haven’t received my order?

Almost all orders can be tracked through our courier DPD’s online tracker. You will have received notification of delivery via text advising of the delivery date and time. If you don’t receive your product on the time and date expected please call us immediately on 0800 88 50 50 (stoma care), 0800 028 4131 (urology and continence).

To begin using Amcare, what information do you need from me?

It is very likely that your nurse or GP will have already registered all of your details with us, so we will need very little information from you – other than letting us know when you need a new order.
